Factfinder
The U.S. Census Bureau's Web site provides population, housing,
economic and geographic data. Also has tables and maps for the United
States, states, counties, cities, towns, and Native American reservations.
The Association of Bay Area Governments
(ABAG)
A planning agency that provides demographic and economic analysis
and projections on issues such as land use, housing, environmental
quality, and economic development for the Bay Area.
California Department of Finance
Provides financial and economic data by county.
City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG)
Deals with issues that affect the quality of life in general; transportation, air quality, stormwater runoff, hazardous waste, solid waste and recycling, land use near airports and abandoned vehicle abatement.
Counting California
Offers a broad array of statistical information on California.
The Federation
for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)
Provides statistical data on immigration according to state, county
or city.
GuideStar
Gathers and distributes data on approximately 850,000 IRS-recognized
nonprofits.
Healthy Communities
San Mateo County
Contains a collection of published reports, needs assessments
and community plans addressing community health and human services.
KidsData.org
Contains information about children's health and well-being in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties in California.
National Center for Education Statistics
Primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.
Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and Families
Publishes various reports on the status of children and youth.
