February is National Children's Dental Health Month!
The Mid-Peninsula Dental Health Foundation assists low-income individuals in acquiring dental care from private dentists. Referrals may be made by a school nurse, a public health worker, a dentist, a community services agency or by calling the office. Those who qualify are referred to private dental offices. Patients are required to pay a small fee for services and are given mainstream care in a private setting, avoiding the stigma associated with "poor man's clinics" and government bureaucracy.
In addition, youths through age 18 and seniors receive preventive education and comprehensive treatment. All age groups are eligible for emergency care to relieve pain and infection.
The Foundation serves East Palo Alto, east Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Los Altos and Mountain View. Click here to read the full record in the CIP database.
