New Help at Home 2009/2011 - Now in English
Help at Home is a mini-reference guide published by the San Mateo County Commission on Aging. This guide, which contains a wide variety of information in a user-friendly format, is designed to assist San Mateo County adults of all incomes to remain safely in their homes. Subjects covered in the guide include: adult day centers, grocery shopping / food services, home care, hospitals, medical insurance assistance, senior centers, senior dining centers, support groups and transportation. The CIP database is a readily and easily accessible resource with up-to-date information on a vast number of organizations and community services.
Using the database, you'll find information on services such as emergency food, clothing and shelter; recreation and afterschool programs; alcohol, drug and mental health counseling; medical treatment and health education; senior services; support groups; and service and hobby clubs.

The Community
Information Program (CIP) provides information on nonprofit
and public services available to people who live or
work in San Mateo County, California.
For over 35 years, CIP has answered
questions for social workers, teachers, nonprofit agency staff,
health care professionals, counselors and clergy, as well as the general
public through their local library.
